Neeps, what kind of tub / bucket do you use to do the original mix?
See several types, thinking of giving it a go but unsure on kit required .

I use a 5 gallon bin which has an airlock fitted (nae necessary, but handy) ... I use it for batches o' 2 - 5 gallons. I also hae a 1 gallon bin for 1 gallon batches. Each has enough headroom tae cater for foamin. Any food grade bin will dae

If ye look at online homebrew shops, ye'll come across kits which hae a bin, demijohn, thermometer, hydrometer, airlock etc ... it's a bit o' a splash oot cashwise .... but in the long run, it'll save ye a heap
