A target man doesn’t mean lumping it though, it just gives you the option, just need a alternate buzz word and we’ll be ok to get one! Seriously though - Dodds, Brewster, oloffson, daly, ciftci, all guys who could hold it up and noise up centre halves. They played in sides that played some of best football played by utd.

Maybe Tam able to marry his dream football with pragmatism to win games. (Going by rangers match anyway not the shocker v Aden). So far he has gone fairly much with experience players, and first half he had no issue with siegrist kicking long to Clark in air to target their defence, with surprising success.

Wouldn’t be convinced with mcnulty/Clark as our attacking options, second half v rangers we struggled to make it stick or run in behind when we were on back foot and launching a few more desperate punts.

For me...our big issue is our inability to mix it up. We need direct midfielder who can take a run at defenders and win freekicks, we need midfielders that can take a pop at goal from distance, we need midfielders to be able to play a controlled telling pass, we need an ariel threat, we need a poacher, we a quick tricky forward, we need a big striker that can hold up play and supply lay offs! We need options!
