See when Paul Dixon left for the second time, did we have a ready made replacement for him? I would argue thats a no, but this young lad that has divided opinion since he broke into the team was given a chance, and while he never been the best, he has developed far enough to interest other teams.

This time we have Duffy who has poked his nose into the team, Freeman who can apparently play both sides, and if it came to it, Mulgrew and Reynolds could fill in if someone is to be brought in, and of course Sporle who filled in there and did well late in the season, although i think he needs to be a left mid!

I would rather he stayed, but if he can get a chance elsewhere and we get some money in, then thanks for the service and move on, because producing players and making money from them is what we have done well through the years.

Do clubs ever had a ready made replacement? It's football. It's what happens. One door closes and another one opens. I certainly won't lose sleep over Robson leaving. I don't think he's any better than Smith on the other side and we picked him up from Ayr. I'm sure he can be replaced.

Note to Club BTW. You can have all the analysts and iPads and ‘structure’ blah blah blah in place but nothing, NOTHING, is a substitute for results on the park. If we’d got spanked on Saturday this place would now be in total meltdown at the prospect of our main striker getting flogged. Now? We all would appear to be thinking it’s a really good deal and having got a great result without him, to a man we seem to see it as a good piece of business which ultimately should help us strengthen rather than some sort of Armageddon.
