... those of you who have experienced being self-employed know that there are tough times with which to contend before you start to gain the benefits. Most attempts at self-employment fail. GB is going the self-employed route with all its trials and tribulations. There is little to compare with the feelings associated with S/E and to know that you makeur own decisions. No need to rely on others for the fundamental decisions. Many remoaners are exhibiting the symptoms associated with institutional protection. Some will get over it; others are too weak minded to adapt.

Is this now the ridiculous analogy thread ? How about being thrown out of a loving home onto the street ? You'll be in an abusive foster home when you get that US deal. Or your best customer leaving for a more expensive rival because they don't like your terms and conditions.
We can all play that game and as someone who has been self-employed for 40 years I can spot a good deal when I see one. Sovreignty made by Eton-boys ain't it.

Obviously the remain campaign didn't sway enough of the general public to get over the line. The Leave camping are now in charge, this the most Brexit government ever with MP's hand-picked to enact the wishes of Johnson and Gove to 'Get Brexit Done'. They are now completely running the show to push through the 'Oven-Ready Deal' with an 80 seat majority. What is it that leave promised that is now making your life better?
That’s fine Mapperley avoid the question as I said it is a stupid question after such a short period.

... Frenchie... you seem to miss the plot; hope you're not unwell. Perhaps you're suffering from gallic self interest. How could you want to remain within the corrupt EU? Perhaps you joined the corrupt bandwaggon - France enjoying being mistress to her German master ...

The EU is corrupt? Wow, thank goodness the saintly Boris Johnson government has successfully extricated us to the sunlit uplands with no damage to our economy and no inconvenience or losses to us self employed people doing business with the other 27 members eh?

Can’t argue with you but if enough voters think the same we will have a Labour government at the next election and we can all be happy.

Quotes from the great Billy Connolly that seem fitting for this thread at this point
“The desire to be a politician should bar you for life from ever becoming one.”
"Don't vote. It just encourages them....”

I think you're a bit obesessed with nationality and I think subsequent posts have put you right on corruption. Over here we don't mind which nation comes up with the good ideas. We even rather liked the British invention of the Single Market. Seems to work for us.
