Mates had season tickets for DFU 10-15 years back so sat with them on occasion.
A few old guys sat beside them and some of the comments that came out their mouths were incredible.

One said to his mate "They are bringing on the darkie" (Gomis). When pulled up on that by a mate the reply was "ACH eh dinnae mean anything bad by it son, just old and stuck in my ways".

Another was a serial abuser of Craig Conway. On one occasion he spent the first 15 minutes giving Conway a hard time whether he had the ball or not. It was eventually pointed out to him that Conway was not even on the park.

Old enough to remember when most of the ground was standing so was never in the main stand to know if it had its resident moaners (apart from Jim "Get Bannon aff" McLean.

If memory serves me right, The Final Hurdle was one of the main avenues for fans disaffected with what was going on with the club both on and off the park and think United for Change kinda grew out of that.
