Can hear IB giving Ruben instructions now so his introduction to the game is imminent

Yep, I made the exact same observation last week. I doubt it's a Football Radar tactic. More likely to be our so-called defenders and defensive midfielders needing a good kick up the a*se!

Pre season or not, we have major defensive issues. It’s too easy for teams to get the ball wide behind the wing backs and get crosses in. We also need a more physical presence in the centre of the park. Not sure it’s necessary the plan (so surprised to see it today) but I don’t think Wootton and Mitchell are different enough to play as a two up top. Absolutely pointless decision to send Rawlinson off by the ref. Would have been harsh in a league game and crazy in previous season. Has pretty much ruined the training session for both clubs. Prat.

Granted the referee has ruined this game due to his own inflated ego and never a sending off, but Notts are looking dire in all areas of the pitch. Slow in defence, lightweight in midfield and toothless up front. Worrying, very worrying, seems all our first choice signings didn't arrive and these are plan C

The red card was bizarre. It’s barely a foul, would’ve been harsh in a league game and the opposition manager is pleading with him not to do it. Incredible jobsworth levels.

We’ve got to be a lot sharper, though. Their opener came after we’d had loads of possession, Roberts lost it in a dangerous position and one ball in behind opened us up. The second I think we were still trying to work out what was going on with the red, but another set piece either way.

We’ve actually been better since the red, defended pretty well and looked a threat on the break. Mitchell has looked promising.

Well. That was bad. Chicksen hasn't had a touch because quite rightly Solihull have been attacking our shambles of a right hand side. I said last weak the problems are glaringly obvious. We are so easy to attack.

This isn't bed wetting, it's genuine concern. We can't afford to start badly again and moving into our 3rd season in this awful league, it seems we still don't understand what is needed.

One shot from open play on goal in the dying embers of the first half, seems to sum that half up. Toothless in attack, absent in midfield and pedestrian in defence. That wasn't ''men against boys'', that was ''men against traffic cones''. We need to do a Hell a lot better than that, not only in this match but for the rest of the season.

Granted it's a friendly but mentally can a team go from starting a game looking not bovvered to turning up to the first league match being prepared to sweat blood for the three points?

That should be for Mitchelll, although he's done better than Wootton by offering himself more.
But in a PSF down to 10 men? There's no point in over-exerting yourself anyway
