I want to see our young talent given a chance.

    F u c k off Zohorre and FOL.
Would I play him on what I have seen from him, no way.

However and I quote from what Val said to Birmingham Live only yesterday

“Ken I have to say, over the last two weeks, has raised his intensity for sure.

“At the beginning we had some concerns about whether he can play at that intensity and buy in, but the last two weeks and the game against Birmingham show that we are on the right way with him.”

So presumably Val is seeing something in training and responding to that by giving Zahore a chance to prove he is worth a place. Great management as it shows everyone has a chance to make the team if they respond to the coaching and direction he gives but surely he won’t be persisting for too much longer, but only time will tell.

One look at his face shows you he can’t mentally shift out of first gear. There are quite a few players like this but you don’t usually sign them 🙄

Compare the pressing energy shown by Robinson and Grant to Zohore, polar opposite, I think it was a mistake to take Grant off yesterday, he got his goal and was well up for it, replaced by an ineffective block of lard.. Can only think given we have a midweek game coming up and had a good cushion Val changed things, in the end I guess it worked as we won but it was mighty close…

When he arrived Ismael said that the squad would have to have plenty of rotation as the high press game he plays is not possible for players to keep playing full games twice every week.

Therein lies some of our problem though, especially until we get everyone fully fit. We are going to see plenty of changes in the last 20/30 minutes each game and we need to have a fully motivated, mobile and fit squad of say 18/20 to do that.

Players like Reach, Snodgrass coming in fully fit will help but bottom line we still need an additional quality centre forward I think to help both numerically but crucially in the quality. For me our front 3 are still average but that is why they are Championship players.

I am far from convinced that the defence is any more solid under this system than we were last year so plenty of twists and turns this season I am sure.

I've always been a fan of HRK and what we what we would have given to have had him coming on instead of Zohore yesterday. He'd have run the lines, held the ball up and generally taken the pressure off the rest of the side. May not have been a starter but would have been useful as a back up. Shouldn't have got rid!

Sadly Zohore’s contract runs until the summer of 2023 - so still two years left. Can’t see us offloading him as no-one will give him the wages we pay him. Only option I can see is to loan him out somewhere and pay a significant chunk of his wages to entice any would be clubs.

Poor recruitment all round - we were a Championship club then under Bilic and paid £8m for Zohore who has never looked the part from day one.

I think we could have kept HRK this season. Does the job, and no defenders liked playing against him. Zohore though? Amazes me how big built players often don’t fully use the power they have. It’s all in the mind. Look at how many short forwards tower above defences to head into the net. Zohore is built like the Hulk and won’t even jump.

I’d love the chance to have a fans face to face with players like Zohorre and Anichebe and Luke Moore to ask them straight out how they can be so p I s s poor in the effort department.

George Reilly was about 6 feet 5 and never got off the ground, he simply stood there and tried to flick it on......another useless t w a t!

A shame really......if he’d been able to jump he might’ve avoided having his ear bitten off in a pub fight.

    Karma!

I can't work out who in our hierarchy will have looked at him and thought he's good enough for our team. Bilic was putting a lot of pressure on the management at the time to sign him a striker. It seemed like a panic buy to appease a disgruntled manager. Shocking transfer at £8 million.

Austin was another bad buy but an understandable gamble given his scoring record in the championship but Zahore just made no sense.

HRK for me not the answer but say this for the chap - he gave 100% and 10 times better than Zohore!

Zohore is contracted and HRK was not so again typically Albion - all about the money!

Tulloh should be given the opportunity!!!
