Just home from Perth! 22.15pm - a good day & night was had!🍻

Superb from the boys today. Couldn't have complained at a draw but the win is an added bonus. Certainly didn't deserve to walk away with nothing!

Carson didn't have much to do. The pleasing thing was he looked so comfortable. A real experienced keeper who'll be a more than worthy stand in for Benji.

The defence was solid again, led by Mulgrew. He's turning out to be a great signing!

Midfield was solid. Fuchs is absolutely our main man atm. He gets everywhere. Breaks up everything. Won everything. Levitt is going to be a player also. Super calm & composed. Always showing for the ball. Once he gets to know the team he's going to be an asset.

McNulty looked a million times better than last week. Clark was fairly anonymous. Unless he's in a 442, I don't see a place for him in this team unfortunately.

All in, a great result and a great day out. Not often we win in Perth.

Dare I say...... Tam Courts' Tangerine Army? 👀

I know its very early days but we are six points ahead of where i thought we would be at this stage and i'm honest enough to admit it.There were teams touted for top 6 who havnie won a game yet and we,against all the odds have won two.
We are nearly getting to the stage now where i think we will win the game i'm gonna attend, next week is a massive test again but i'm now looking forward to it.

Yessss good stuff, good to see you feeling less gloomy about the season

I got a bit of stick for saying was an exciting start, this is what I meant, now fans are back our starting fixures are class, bonus to get 3 from Sevco as made up for poor showing at Pittodrie

Perth is always winnable for us, always, don't think they've scored against us for atleast 360 mins through there

Gutted I'll miss the Hearts game, should be interesting, they just got a Liverpool loanie in today sounds like a good calibre bit like Levitt

Didn't realise until the interview on DUTV that is the first time Sporle has played a full 90 minutes for United. The lad needs credit. I remember his first interview on the zone and he said he was having to adjust to the weather (It was July). I thought he would be a here 1 season tops. He has really dug in and is a useful member of the squad. His English has also improved a lot.

Couldnt be happier with attitude. Quite a few injuries now though. If someone had told me Tams first 8 games would be 7 wins and a defeat (ok pens for one of them but hey) - Id have taken that in summer. Some good changes from Tam - play players in right positions, learn from mistakes quickly, energy, close down opposition, finally a number 8 and winger are brought in, actually attack.

He is young and team is young we will have quite a few downs Im sure. But good to see the videos of the fans in Perth - The finnish winger was there and bet he cant wait to get started.

Watched it on a mobile screen. Question for anyone who was there.. Pawlett had a good 60 minutes again which was great to see but how was the balance without Butcher and Harkes?
Was is a straight 442 with the middle 4 being Levitt Fuchs Pawlett Sporle?

Pretty much, although maybe more a 4-2-3-1 with Clark playing off McNulty (although he was closer to McNulty than he was to the midfield)

Good point about Sporle, never knew that was his first full 90.
Defenders don't like playing against him because of the unpredictability in his game.

Cheers BackRow. I still think we need to add a striker if we're going to get a decent goal return from McNulty. A tall strong guy who can lay the ball off for him and also be a threat from Niskanen crosses. But I fear our business is done.

yip...I agree with the big striker option. It allows us to have another option up front and makes us a bit less predictable.....man u must have some big strikers sitting needing game time?
