Yet arsenal sign Odegaard (non EU) from Real (EU) on Friday and he plays last night.

Given he played most of last season at Arsenal I'd assume he already had a work permit? 🤔

thats highly likely but its also possible that there is a bit of corruption going on - i know what with politicans and government departments never but what a mill for Arsenal - its probably called an expedited process lol. Hopefully its not a case of months here

He wasn't able to play on Sunday as they were waiting on his permit, so obviously not.

corruption then money talks - they are that arrogant that they probably have it signed off as a formal process

Interesting, do we know how long they've been trying to get it sorted?

Who knows. Arsenal wanted him registered by midday Friday so he could play on Sunday but Visa issues stopped him, so even they don't know the process.

Are visa issue the same as work permit issues? Maybe, I don't know. 🤔

Yes, a Visa is a work permit.

Didn't know Finland was in the EU, learn something new every day.

Wonder if its something to do with how much we are paying him, isn't it easier to get a work permit if you have a very high salary, as I'm assuming Odergaad is and our dude isn't?
