Glass half full still. We gave them far too much space but still think with a better break of the ball and their keeper not pulling off a couple of worldies we could have gotten something from the game. We were much better once Butcher and Harkes came on and I'm not disheartened as I still think we will win enough games against the lower half teams to keep ourselves out of danger. Could do with some extra attacking options though as we still don't look threatening for the most part, let's see where we are on Tuesday.

The game aside, big thanks once again to GB, an absolute gentleman! First class hospitality towards myself and my better half and even laid on the fantastic weather too😉👍We both had a great day mate and look forward to meeting up again in the near future. My eyes are closing as I type so will bow out gracefully

FTD And **** Robbie Nielson too 😁

Can't disagree. I've been criticising our lack of control and creativity for months but had to stop as it was upsetting too many on here.

Don't know either of you guys but have followed your arrangements for today's 'celebrations' and have to say it has been great fun to follow and to see friendships develop from a couple of posts on a football website.

Did anyone go to the pop up 'bar' next to the ground? Me and the two mates were there before the game, it was alright actually. Bit of a queue for the bar but it was well organised and pleasant. The weather helped a great deal mind you. 🙂

That today was totally unacceptable. No game plan, no belief, no composure, no urgency.

I don't know why, but over the last 5 or 6 years with different players, managers and backroom staff, today was a performance that we have seen again and again and again.

I don't have any answers as to why we turn in so many similarly insipid performances but I do know that crowds will dwindle if people are asked to pay £28 to watch that tedious, heartless p!sh much longer.
The above is a really fair post and as i was sitting in Tannadice yesterday i was asking myself questions like why are we sitting off them from the first whistle?,do we see Hearts as a far better team than us?,is the plan to play for a draw?
I then thought back to The Rangers game and thought why did we think we were good enough to go for the jugular against the Scottish Champions?,did we think we were better than them?,do we really think its sensible to allow the winners of the Championship the freedom of Tannadice but not give the best team in the country a minutes peace?.
Its baffling to me troops and i agree with Spike that in the main i don't think Hearts are all that great and other teams will beat them on their travels.

Gordon was the difference, and a dodgy referee didnt help

Tynecastle could be a good day out

Gordon was really good right enough mate but only in the 2nd half, what bothered me most was how easy we made it for Hearts in the first half,i would suggest that's the easiest first half away from home they will play all season.

Was he really though? He made 4 saves that I'd be expecting any keeper of Dundee Utd to be making. Two of them looked great but Edwards' header was right at him and Mulgrews free kick was placed exactly where he was positioned for and was at an easy height.
