The next two games are going to be fascinating to see where we stand in relation to the tail-end of last season: We did the double over Wrexham, effectively consigning them to 8th place. And Aldershot did the double over us - and that 1-0 home defeat was one of the most supine displays I’ve seen from a Notts side in years.

Wrexham have clearly strengthened in key areas - centre half, centre midfield and centre forward - while we appear to be going for the folksier, “give the kids a chance” approach, making tomorrow night Hollywood v Ted Lasso. I’m not confident that we’ll finish the season above Wrexham at the season’s end, but it would be great to win there tomorrow night at least.

Won't be too many more tricky away games than this one. When we beat them on TV at home last season we should have been 2 or 3 down in those opening 15 mins. We were all over the shop it was embarrassing, one injury to the opposition and the game turned and we were the better side and got the unexpected win.

Good listen that. Good to see Pedro and Stubbsy, and my guess is Raddy as well.

My worry is that if we gift them a goal through overdoing the tippy-tappy stuff at the back, we will struggle to turn it around.
Hmm, yeah it was strange to see the way Rawlinson and Slocombe exchange rushed 3 yard passes yesterday under pressure from the opposition. It was like they were surprised that the other team might not let them do it. Only a matter of time before it goes properly wrong.

Taylor and Nemane on from the start tomorrow would give Wrexham a lot to think about.

It certainly would but would that also weaken us defensively?

I don't think Nemane is anywhere near starting a match yet, especially after playing a full half on Saturday. I think having Taylor back will make a huge difference. It would be nice to see Lacey given some minutes as well

I wouldn't start Nemane , All he did on Saturday was to to pass the ball back and lose it.. He has pace, but does not have the confidence to take players on... He reminds me of Fabián Brandy.....
