Avondale, you can't have nowt these days as no one gives a flying frig about other people's possessions. Hope the damage isn't too bad.
As for your Mrs' car, my Wife and I went to Liverpool the other weekend. Next day when checking out we noticed someone had damaged her car across the back bumper and lower skirt. What pisses you off is they don't have the decency to leave their details, hope the scumbag suffers a worse fate.

Brin, you're right, some real to$$ers knocking about. CCTV says it was a bloke in a white Fiat. But, as the Hotel said," Parking at owners risk"......We can only hope that David, the guy getting married, knows him and he offers to pay.......

    Obviously not expecting owt..........

Parking at owners risk is just a notice to absolve the hotel chain of any claims. It doesn't stop you informing your insurance company you have video evidence of the damage caused and what vehicle was involved. The owner has a legal duty to inform them who was driving their car at the time. If it's that bad on a new car pal then get a claim in, reason being if there's any paint damage it will be easy to match up to.

Brin is right. Owners of premises cannot absolve themselves of responsibility by putting up notices like that. It's a cheap get out ploy that is unfair.
The owners of those premises have a duty of care to everyone who uses them and that means providing a safe parking area and a responsibility to those who use it.
I'd certainly be asking them for details and cctv evidence. If they refuse I'd kick us a fuss and put pressure on them to cooperate.
They also have a duty to prevent drink driving because it is they that sold the drink in the first place. Do they have a car park warden and offer taxis to those who may have been drinking. All things you could use to make their life difficult if they try and hide behind that sign.

Thanks for the comments, Lady from reception is going to rerun the CCTV and see if they can get the Reg No and phone tomz. Still not expecting owt. The car is new with those plastic bumpers so they're was plenty of "give" when he brushed passed, taking the paint off.
Like you all have said, too many people have no morals and just drive off.

........could have been a lot worse, but that's no excuse for him......to$$er.
