Yes both tonight and Torquay are the times where we have to respect the point. More so when you play Wrexham away from home in the current circumstances with all the hype surrounding them.
In Wrexham and Torquay we have had the two toughest test's we are likely to face this season and we've come out of both games with two points and remain unbeaten. These are the points that will be pivotal come the end of the season in terms of it meaning that they both currently have two points less than they could have had after playing us. Plus we maintain our unbeaten start to the season.
I would have taken the point before kick off tonight. We have 5 points (1.67ppg) and to be automatic promotion contenders we need to be averaging 2 points a game. So we are only a point short of that.
It's the games coming up against the likes of Aldershot, Wealdstone and Weymouth where we need to be winning and gaining some points and momentum. The results against the lesser teams like these will have a far bigger bearing on our season than a point gained against the likes of Torquay and Wrexham.

I suppose it's all about expectations. If you rate a performance where we took our only real chance to get a point as excellent because we were playing the mighty Wrexham, you will probably see us finishing 10th as a good season. I just wonder what word you will use when in my opinion we really are excellent. We were decent today, we certainly weren't "excellent".
Excellent
adjective
extremely good; outstanding.
Last Notts manager to win 1 and draw 2 of the opening 3 league games.........
Steve Thompson.
So based on your view, because I thought tonight was an excellent performance, I’ll be happy with a 10th place finish? Not at all.
What a silly comment ‘mighty Wrexham’. In terms of our league, they are mighty.
There are different reasons a performance can be viewed as excellent. Tactical, positional discipline. We’ve shown a different side to our footballing capabilities. Maybe I’m a tiny bit excited, but my overriding view of the performance, was excellent.
You could have put their opening day home defeat to Alty down as a bit of a fluke, but the 0-4 today certainly raises an eyebrow and puts a different slant on our result against them. Losing your opening two at home having been top for the best part of last season and gone so close is bad enough, but 0-4 to a team that had just lost at home two days earlier is more than just a random result. Looks like a major play off hangover.
