Agree, but what I still don't understand is why the powers that be will not accept that 'taking the knee', rightly or wrongly, is always going to be associated with the BLM movement. The obvious thing, to my mind anyway, is to have a different gesture before the game which is directly and obviously directed at anti racism. Southgate keeps banging on about it but why doesn't he see that it's not working so try something else. I don't think that it will cut it out completely but I do think that it would help. It would show that those who do boo are racist and not anti a political movement.

Yes, I agree that last night was racist booing but I was talking in general and regarding 'taking the knee' in this country.

Don't disagree but you can't accuse all the Hungarian fans of being racist as the majority are decent and welcoming people. I heard some West Brom fans booing taking the knee at Blackburn - were they racist? No not all all! Why should they not boo taking the knee as well as booing a fat useless lump like Zohore if that's what they want to do. Many who pay the money are entitled to boo for whatever they want as long as there's no racial or homophobic undertones!

PS - the publicity is not so great when there's homophobic abuse or disgusting s exual singing aimed at the lineswoman Sian Massey - is that less acceptable?

There was some booing amongst the Albion fans at the knee bending nonsense before the game at Peterborough.
