Boreham Wood still yet to concede a goal.

Stockport have the lowest goals per game ratio in the league.
I spotted Charlie in the queue for a brew at half time. He didn’t look like he’d enjoyed the first half much either.

Despite, not being at our best we've made a decent start to the season.

Scoring 8 goals past 2 of the weaker teams and grinding out a tough 1-1 away against one of the best teams in the division

Well that was a roller coaster ride that was in true Notts County style!
I really thought we played far too much across our back three, dare I say it? In true Ardley style.
Aldershot made it difficult for us to play out and their No. 23 Jayden Harris was superb al game breaking up the play.
Only 21 ex Fulham on 2 year contract.
    Missed him on the radar!
Ruben really struggled to get into the game apart from setting Woots up.
Cal was well Marshalled by Lewis Kinsella their captain until the latter stages. Great to see Lacey back he fits that back three perfectly.
Aldershot may upset a few this season. Far better than their present position.
Never say die attitude got us through today and a welcome 3 points.

Didn’t see today as I’m away but surely we have to take 8 points from our first 4 games. Something in me tells me Mitchell’s going to be a player for us and the rest will improve and IBs intelligence and desire to improve us means we’re probably going to be more than alright this season.

I'm lapping up all of that, Jackal...

...or you do a better job of playing 3-5-2? But it seems to me that there's perhaps only one specialist 'wing-back' at the club. Not good if you've committed to playing that system!

I think this is more on recruitment than the coaches and it's interesting that it's gone by half-time in game 4 (after a different drastic action was needed in game 2). Maybe IB can get it to work. But rest assured it won't take 10 bad games like it would under another manager, IB's far better than that and he wouldn't let it happen.

All in all, got the 3 points against a poor side, so job done

However conceding 2 goals at home is not good enough, we have got away with it today, but going forward we must address this, otherwise we will drop points.
And in both home games, against Torquay, and Aldershot we have been behind in some point of the game

Weymouth up next, where we need another 3 points

What did cheer me up was Solihull moors losing at home to Weymouth, As Ardley is a great manager haha

Let’s hope we don’t lose to Weymouth. As we all know, we need to improve on today’s performance to be confident of avoiding banana skins.
