The last two can often be the most difficult to get, unless it's England batting.

    Finally!
    Good resistance by Lancs.
I thought they were going to hold on, phew!

A good fight put up by Lancashire, but we always seemed to have enough overs left to bowl them out. Top of the league with games away to Hampshire and home to Yorkshire to play.

It was starting to feel like that wasn't it. Cricket commentary is one of life's pleasures.

I really enjoy the Radio Nottingham cricket commentary. Dave Bracegirdle is the voice of NCCC, and manages to be interesting, informative and humorous in just the right measures. The free live streams have been a real bonus, and having a 'home and away' commentary team works really well as you get a genuine insight into both teams. Somehow, I don't think it would work in football!

He does a great job. It's like listening to a favourite podcast with live sport thrown in. Agree about it not working in football, can you imagine it...

There's something evocative about radio isn't there, it feels personal, conversational.

The moment all those years ago when Eddie Hemmings hit THAT four. Remember where I was as we listened to the final moments of the B &H final, what the portable radio looked like, and dancing round the kitchen with joy.

I remember THAT four for very different reasons. It was on BBC back then and we were staying in a one star (at best) chalet just outside Great Yarmouth. It was when you had to put coins in the meter to get electricity, and just as the final ball was about to be bowled the telly went off!!! After a frantic search for coins all I got was the Notts players celebrating. I've watched the replay several times since, and Richie Benaud saying "he's got it awaaay" is a phrase I'll always remember.

I prefer just the radio commentary on Radio Nottm and TMS to watching the live stream/sky. There is something comforting about it.

I love drifting off to TMS when England down-under for the Ashes.
