Some big over-reactions yes, but football is an emotional game so that's pretty much par for the course after a game we should've won but didn't.
I usually wait until Monday morning for a cold-blooded analysis on here.
I think UTM summed it up quite well - nothing too worrying so far, but a lot depends on what happens in the next few games. If we make a habit of dripping points in these games then yes, it will be concerning.
I’m going to back away, but before I do. Consider the following;
Scored 1, 1 assist and 1 incorrectly ruled out. His runs create space for others, he had an hand in Cal’s goal last Saturday. For a midfielder, 5 games in, not a bad contribution. To suggest he did nothing ‘again’ is a bit wide of the mark.
Anyway, have a good evening.
I totally understand why people would think it's an overreaction and on face value, we are unbeaten in 5 games and in the mix at the top. If this was one season in isolation, I'd totally agree. But it's not is it? We've all been here before and the familiar niggling issues are there for all to see.
Of course, we are all entitled to our opinion, but I don't subscribe to the JOB/DKE love-in or the plaudits for this frustrating 'modern' style of play.
The very fact that our preferred starting 11 contains those two players raises massive questions about our Summer recruitment IMO.
Not ideal but if someone had said by this stage, having played Torquay and more significantly Wrexham away. Still being unbeaten is something most would have been happy with.
I will step away in the next few minutes! No love in on my part. I believe JOB is a decent player at our current level is a good player and will contribute over the course of the season. His contribution so far this season backs up that view.
DKE is different. I don’t and haven’t viewed him as a starter. As a squad player, I think he’s useful. But, that’s my opinion.
You don't have to back away Killer! You are clearly a gentleman! I welcome your thoughts mate! Have a great evening!
