With hindsight (we'd never make a mistake would we), Grigg should've started. Freddie doesn't look interested and is starting to pee me off to be honest.
We're in danger of ruining Wes Harding. As a right sided CB he's ok. As a right back, he's immense. Possibly the best in league 1. As a LEFT sided CH he's a liability. His confidence will be reeling. Did we have no option but to lose Tilt (a genuine left sided CH)?
Ollie Rathbone is/has become "the man". If he carries on like he is doing he may even become talismanic like frecks. Rathbone is a fans favourite because he gives it everything. To take him off as Warne did, not because he was injured but because he might (MIGHT) get tired, was a shocking decision. Warne struggles with substitutions. It's long been an issue I have with him. I think he (it's actually mainly Barker tactically) pre-determines the changes pre match and, baring injury, sticks to them rigidly. That's why I suspect he took rathbone off. What he should do is adapt to what is actually happening, not what his pre match theory suggested may happen. I bet Fleetwood couldn't believe their luck when rathbone went off. Please learn from that one warney.
I'm really not feeling the love for Sadlier. The sooner Ferguson is playing the better.
As others have said it might be time to go 4 4 2, if nothing else but to give opposition scouts and managers something to think about :
Viking
Harding, Icky, Wood, Bola
Ogbene, Rathbone, Barlaser, Ferguson
Grigg, Smith
If the midfield is getting over run then it either becomes a back 3 by losing Bola or a 1 up by losing Grigg, and in either case bringing Lindsay on.
