There are thankfully an ever decreasing number of people who 'don't want bloody foreigners in our country'. There would have been a few more of them 16 years ago when a Romanian bloke and a Chinese woman chose to settle here. Their bigotry could have denied us one of the most amazing sporting moments in our lifetimes.
If the question of immigration being a good or a bad thing comes down to one single immigrant doing something spectacular that everybody takes notice of, then I dare say the majority would forego Emma's fine achievement in favour of a large number of children still being alive today who attended the pop concert in Manchester a few years ago only to get blown up. I wouldn't personally base my opinion on what one or two individuals do. I'm not really sure where I stand on the issue because it's very complicated, there are pro's and cons and then there is the question of how many is too much or too little.
