We were still in the top half of the table as late as mid-February. A very strange season, blamed at the time on so many players contracts running out at the end of the campaign and them just not caring anymore.

Only time we've done better than that was an incredible 18 game unbeaten start in 1930/31.

Another good crowd again today, though only the third-highest in the division (behind Grimsby and Wrexham - the latter had over 8,000, so I assume they’ve got their fourth stand open now).
