Anybody else remember their fans pleading for their chairman to sign Rhodes? They were on de dah fm nightly and apparently writing to the chairman asking for it to happen.
They signed him, he was kak and the exact same callers, That lad from Pittsmoor for example then hammered the manager and chairman for signing him and wasting money.
All fans are fickle to a degree, some clubs worse than others. Wendy's haven't don't anything for 30 years except get out of League One. We've done that 3 times in the last 6 years?
Our own fans calling for Warne out for example aren't much more clued up....
Still I think we all know that at our absolute best with everything going well for a club like ours the best we will get is lower half of the championship. Any higher our manager and better players will be gone for a relative bargain and any worse and we end up doing exactly what we've done for the past 4/5 championship seasons...
