Not necessarily, I’m not sure mcpake has much of a clue, might actually help them if he gets suspended by putting more in form/fit strikers in his place. Maybe getting/keeping Charlie Adam fit key for them, without him no one to provide supply, or feed McMullan down the sides. They’d probably have been screwed last season without him.
Even thinking when they had Dorans and Adams playing in same midfield, they had no legs in there, and angry man McGowan on the wing. Not sure mcpake knows how to fit these players in, or thinks about it when he signs them.
Once Adam, or if Adam stays fit, and they win a dame or two, they will be returned to world beaters.
