    Who would everyone say is the best defensive midfielder we've faced this season so far? One we'd like at Notts I mean.

    Good stuff, Jacob. That's maybe the best compromise IB is going to find with this squad...
    But if we'd nailed the CM and pacy attacker signings (not to mention that elusive RWB ) we'd still be dreaming of top 3....but that's enough of my woulda coulda shouldas

    I don't think Burch has signed anybody that is an improvement on those that have left. Which is a bit of a worry.

    My opinion;
    - Cameron improvement on Turner. Obviously folk will throw in Ellis and I understand that
    - Palmer, it could be argued is better than Reeves. Reeves did chip in with a few goals. But, certainly under Ardley caused a few issues with his distribution

    If we sign somebody, he will be 5 ft 10 ****ager who is 'good on the ball' or somebody recently released from Chesterfield, Harrogate or Torquay. Football (broken) Radar.

    I think we have dropped the ball (pun intended) this time in the loans we have brought in. Two defensive loan players both 21 years old one from Sheff Wed and one from Sunderland to fill in for Cameron and Slocombe. Both of them have next to no league appearances between them and three of those have been in the games they have played for us.

    The National League is nothing like U23's football. It's tough, physical and extremely competitive.

    It was the same last season when we brought in loan players like Regan Griffiths when Doyle was injured. Then we had Tylor Golden, the invisible Matty Wolfe. None really were anything of note and just seemed like sticking plasters.

    I've got no objections with us bringing in young players on loan but they need to have something about them and hold their own and make us notice and remember them for their performances like Grealish and McGregor, and more recently Ryan Yates. Baring in mind those t.eenagers played for us a higher level as well.

    Last season the experienced loanees we brought in were Ellis, Effiong and Steele who between them had vast amounts of experience. I think for this current defensive crisis we needed to bring in an experienced keeper at least who could organise and lead the defence until Slocombe returns.

    JOB offers no threat whatsoever.

    Cameron and Ruben da Rocha Rodrigues are certain upgrades for me. Unless you want Ben Turner and Nathan Tyson back?

    I thought I saw Rodrigues playing in an Ardley team?

    Well, I am sure Reuben was signed under Ardley's tenure, so he is irrelevant. Cameron is better than Turner, sure, but better than Ellis? That's a moot point.
