I think there is a perception that young people are idealistic and will vote for a dream, like independence. I don't think that is true. Young people are much more questioning nowadays and will look at the arguments from all angles. There is a perception that as older voters die, their votes die with them. I think that those who grow older actually change their views as they realise the economic arguments might adversely affect their pensions and their accumulated wealth.
