We all have different opinions which is fine, but what isn't fine is not respecting each other's opinions. I imagine, from previous posts that I have submitted, that you must realise that I don't rate Hugill. Others do and that's OK. He might prove me wrong , which would be great if he did and I'll be the first to admit that I was wrong. We're all supposed to want the same thing, a successful Albion and we'll all have different opinions as to how we achieve this.

The manager usually cops it if results don't go the way the moneymen want, but the manner of several performances have been a concern plus players fighting amongst themselves. All isn't well behind the scenes as well as the circus around Grealish's move 3 weeks before the season started and with some new signings unfit, Covid, injuries, international breaks have all player their part. All of that aside - the players just haven't turned up and given their all for 90mins in my view, but can't be sacked.
Yes but all of that aside it was a project in progress. Personally think he was doing a wonderful job of under utilising the resources at his disposal.

So much so I'm a little narked your board didn't reward his services to date with a ten year contract extension. Spoil sports.

100% b@ll@cks more like. Jack Grealish and Graham Scott got the Vile promoted despite the West Brom born Villa fan (a crime against humanity in itself) rather than because of him.

You only have to look at how many times his Brentford side threw the lead away to know his in game management was a serious flaw.

They've gone from strength to strength following Smith's departure and the appointment to the top job of his former coach on the back of an excellent set up and recruitment team.

That's before taking into account his win percentages in Villa games minus the Greasy one. Unfortunately the Vile are well shot of him.

Decent coach by several accounts that I've heard over the years but I wouldn't want to see him as boss at the Albion. Nothing good ever seems to come for us when appointing former Viler bosses.

Special mention for Viaduct by the way, I think you're going to need a bigger keep net 😊 .

As you have mentioned last seasons squad - Gallagher, Okay, Maitland-Niles, Pereira, Krovinovic, Hegazi - nobody anywhere near this quality in the current squad. Are you saying there is?

Even Austin and HRK are miles better than Zohore and Hugill FFS!
    Maitland-Niles was pants.

Not the best but still more quality than Livermore or Snodgrass although that's not difficult!
