All that will do is make the dressing room toxic as we have seen in past (think Villa when getting relegated)

As for Gerrard, he has a great back up staff who turned a massive points deficit on Celtic in 1 season. That staff includes our legend Garry Mac a well respected coach (better than as a manager under Bates)
Eddie Howe achieved just the same sort of miracle at Bournemouth with next to f00k all funding as Bielsa has at LUFC, and has way less credit given. With the new resources at his disposal at Newcastle, we (and others} should take note.

And as we all know, money talks. Give Raphina £50m to go north, (after last weekends ridiculous capitulation 17 seconds after we took the lead) and he wouldn't? Watch him again.

It's well known Bournemouth were one of the biggest spenders over recent years, they were fined by FFP, go check the facts, they were ranked 8th biggest spenders in PL, where do you get the **** all funding

Since promotion 2015 Bournemouth were not paupers in the PL transfer market either as common knowledge they were backed by plentiful Russian investment.

Joined Newcastle as their 4th or 5th choice & he's now stating his decision was for 'football only' reasons - yeah, really, very diplomatic.

But....if he gets the money to buy players he might. Aston Villa is managerless at the moment. Gerard is rumoured to be in the picture. Doesn't seem the kind of person who can turn the tide of losses, but I just don't know. All these choices might be important for us if we continue to struggle. Don't think Norwich will stay up no matter who they pick. Burnley will continue to struggle I think. In the end it may be (big may be) down to us, Bumley, Barcodes, Villains, Hornets. Brentford look like they are sliding too. So maybe 6 clubs for 2 spots. Villains and Newcastle have some talent, unlike the others (apart from Leeds of course). Thats why I am interested in managers.

Personally wouldn't want any of your names in charge of us - now or future for sure.

The Argentine Bielsa disciple Jorge Sampaoli, aged 61,currently doing a rebuild job at Olympique de Marseille appears to be an ideal candidate when our great one departs and it's rumoured Newcastle wanted him early doors.

He turned down Chelsea a few years back, has managed Argentina & Chile, coached in Spain & France [like Bielsa] and is very close confidante to Bielsa.

Not sure our current owners would even appoint a young Coach so ideally should go again for mature coach currently using similar tactics to smooth the way for our up and coming young players - hence Sampaoli.

I know you like tactical analysis so here's a read about Sampaoli to wet your appetite.

My hope is Newcastle get relegated and struggle for years in the Championship.

Really can't be bothered with another team trying to buy the league.

Would be slightly amusing if two north east clubs with huge and impressive grounds were plying their trade in L1

Lumplard to Norwich. Gerrard to Villains. Wonder if Roofe may want to leave Ibrox now that Gerrard is gone. Maybe come back to Leeds.
