    I got married in 1984. one of our gifts was a Braun food mixer.
    It is still in regular use today.

    , married in 92, so is our Hinari Electric carving knife with blades for cutting fresh or frozen meat.

    Just to warn you, DVD-R's are made with dyes that fade over time, and the life of them might be 10-20 years. I don't know if that's from manufacture or when burned, so be careful - when digital media fails it tends to be unusable unlike analogue that just goes grainy.

    If you make the DVD, you're probably safest copying the files to a hard drive and keep them safe. Always keep multiple backups of anything important. Cloud storage such as onedrive or google drive is a good option.

    For us old timers 10 to 20 years will probably be enough
