Thanks all for the gradings.
Great to hear Big Kyle was once again instrumental in yesterday's victory. Also pleasing to hear about Taylor's continued improved perfomances after his stellar effort at Dale.

I agree with much of the above, but without wanting to sound too negative I don’t think Taylor was MOTM. It was a great ball for the goal but I can’t remember much else of note….apart from a rasping shot in the first half which the goalkeeper parried. He was good, a solid 7 for me.
Wootton was probably MOTM due to his all round contributions, but yet again, and sorry to harp on about this, none of this would’ve been possible without Palmer on the pitch. He is everywhere, dictating the tempo, breaking up play, switching play, creating space, everything….the guy is at least an 8 every game. He doesn’t score or assist many but if we’re unfortunate enough to lose him through injury or suspension then will will struggle to replace him. Can’t believe he’s playing at this level.
I disagree to a certain degree with the poster saying Roberts is a shade of of his ‘former self’ (based on a few good performances 18 months ago). Centre mid isn’t his position but his is growing into and yesterday was his best performance for a while now (though a better team may have overrun him a bit better I agree).
I know he is loved on here, and I understand why, but DKE still doesn’t convince me at RWB. If we were to strengthen I feel this is an area we could make a really big improvement (though I do love him too!)
Thanks all for the gradings.

They all performed really well. I think we also have a real competition for places. I only have one worry is if Palmer got injured, he’s been absolutely immense and I don’t think we have anyone close who could do his role as well as he does.
Proper team performance yesterday. Our seats had us directly in line with the 6 yard box at the ML end so we were able to see how the defence coped. I came away glowing about Lacey, who I would have made my M.O.M. The guy was immense. Vincent in midfield is an outstanding player for us at this level.
I also have to take this opportunity to eat a small slice of Humble-Pie. On a previous thread I questioned why we needed a loanee G/K, and suggested young Brookes be given a go - especially after the 3 game mini-disaster. Well I have to say it's time to eat my words. This young lad is the bees-knees. IB has a real decision on his hands as to when to re-introduce Sam S.
Finally well done to everyone at the club yesterday. It was superb all round.
Not really, he's number one until Sunderland say so.
Very much agree with most of this post. Palmer without doubt now as important as Wooton to the way that we play. Roberts best performance in a CM role, he may never be as effective in there as a firing Cal can be from out wide but the team performance is more important than one player. DKE isn’t blessed with bags of natural ability and in the underperforming team of 8/9 months ago his gritty determination and effort allowed him to stand out, but in a team on form im afraid he becomes the weak link and a RWB would be top of my shopping list in January.
A bit more on two of our star performers yesterday
Palmer - credit to IB/MD for biting the bullet and making him our sitting midfield player. It's his future so why not start it now? He can play further forward, but if you look at his record, he's not even a 5 goal a season midfielder and isn't a player like Vincent who loves to get into the box. He's got all the attributes of a great holding midfielder and shows them every game.
Rodders - the 2nd goal showed that in his 2nd season in English football the game is really slowing down for him. Surrounded by defenders, he's not hurried at all, keeps his composure. He looks like this most of the time now. With this, I think we can look at the opposition fans and say the same as Tony Soprano at the end of this clip
