    But aren't the Cheltenham big races once a year......and you're waiting for it to come around?

    Have to agree on the cycling and Skiing ones though

    I'm not sure the equipment has such an influence on success in cycling and skiing (and in fact any other sport) as it does in F1. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the top drivers aren't extremely skilled as exhibited today but they wouldn't be top drivers in the cars driven by those who usually start on the 10th row of the grid.

    The best drivers end up in the best cars just like the best footballers play for the best teams.

    Bit like horses and jockeys.

    They have to earn the right to get those cars, transfers, rides

    That's true but having the best boots is not what makes the best footballers and the same can be said about most sports and equipment but unfortunately not F1. Given the same car as those that finished below around 10th in yesterday's race Lewis Hamilton would not have won it. Even fringe sports like darts and snooker are not dominated by who has the best arrows/cue.
