Was in Wales earlier in the year, whilst masks were required in shops there were many defaulters, like us no action taken against them, so the rotten apples continue to spoil the barrel

There's no evidence that they work.

I think they got it right in the first place, wash your hands and keep your distance if possible.

They may work in some way for flu though if they were telling the truth about flu almost disappearing last Winer.

There is overwhelming evidence from many studies that they work. In fact that masks are the single most effective method we have causing a 53% fall in cases compared to 25% for social distancing.

I don't disagree regarding the masks. What I'd like to know is why some of the so called expert scientists told us at the beginning of the pandemic that masks were not needed as they weren't very effective at preventing the spread!!!!!

Obviously they changed their minds quite quickly but it makes you wonder about their competence!!

and my choice is to wear one on Public Transport and in Supermarkets etc.
Dirty b@$t@rd$ coughing, sneezing and spreading germs on everyone else.
A big % don't bother sanitising before they go around the Supermarkets, that's before and after.
Some people are walking round with a cough and cold thinking it's the common cold or flu without giving a thought about getting tested to rule COVID out. No wonder it's still spreading .
Wearing a mask may not prevent you catching COVID it will however have an effect on the flu virus giving the NHS a better chance of coping this winter.

Gyms are a breading ground for all sorts of nasties, when they re-opened there was sanitizer everywhere and Id guess 50% wiped down equipment at best, id say that figure is less than 10% now and the sanitizers have gone.

Theres contact points everywhere and what people like John forget is it has to be ingested first (wash your hands remember) but the mask brigade are happy touching everything in sight.

Where are you getting your information from?

Austria has had them for a year, FFP2 ones too, not cloth ones, not really done them much good has it?

Czech Republic too, masks for ages, as much use as a chocolate teapot.

And how do you explain Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland with masks having higher cases than England, without?

Now flu, maybe they did help for that, but it's a different virus.
