Just completed my 3rd Dan black belt Taekwondo. Lock down made it difficult but finally got it done.
Along with my black belt in kickboxing martial arts has given me a lot of discipline.

We have a couple of young lads who we are working with at the moment trying to keep them out of trouble. They were referred to us by a local copper.

Martial arts has the power to teach discipline and give young people a focus.
Best thing I ever did I still have a short fuse but I’m a lot more disciplined now.
Don’t know where I would have ended up without it.

Well done on your achievements Pocket, you're correct it does teach discipline.
Son-in- Law is black belt, eldest granddaughter has just achieved black belt earlier this year and grandson is red belt / tag.

As Casper says I would probably be in a different place now.
Brin would still beat me up definitely and millertop I wouldn’t worry I have to get up twice in night for toilet I’m not that mobile any more 😎.

Very impressive, Pocket, and very well done. I have a special admiration for people who persevere and reach a particularly high level of competence in something.

I’m good in the main pal. Decided to take a career change very recently. At 50 now constantly having work on my mind, even when at home just made my work life balance too weighted towards work. My younger Missis has just got a good promotion so I’ve been able to make a move. Not going to lie it’s a strange feeling but in the long run I think we’ve made the right decision.
