Yes let’s lock the country down again.
Tonight on BBC Reporting Scotland it was stated that the number of positive Omricon cases has increased ten fold in a week in Scotland from 9 to 99 cases.
I could understand some people starting to panic if the number of Omricon cases in a week in Scotland had increased from 300 to 3,000 cases.
This is typical of BBC Reporting Scotland who tonight also stated that almost 40% of people aged 12 and over in Scotland had received their Covid booster vaccination.
My understanding is that children aged 12-15 do not qualify for the Covid booster vaccination.
I suspect that Nicola will use this low 40% booster figure as an excuse for wanting another lockdown.
However she will have to raid her own reserves at Holyrood to pay for her own SG furlough scheme.

Shell pulling out out of the proposed Cambo oil field and Wee Pat wanting to shut down all the North Sea oil and gas fields will be the final nail in the pro independence coffin as there will be no taxation received from each barrel of oil recovered from Scottish waters.

I know it dosent look like it on here but I can hardly talk to anyone about it now......she is ruining lives, livliehoods and mental health......people going untreated, undiagnosed and ignored as public sector Scotland hides under that bitches skirts.

    Evil.
Still optimistic that commonsense will prevail. I think I speak to more people who want the vaccine programme ramped up. Don't think anyone is in favour of lockdown. Politicians and SAGE are back to flattening the curve of a new mutation of covid to give the NHS time to get everyone triple vaccinated. No lockdown this time because we are not going to use furlough to ease the financial pain. My opinion only, no facts to back it up!

Yeah you said that 15 months ago you were "optimistic".

If you don't think politicians, MSM and the professional classes ain't in favour of restrictions and lockdowns you haven't been paying attention.

Our restrictions ain't as bad as them over there dosent wash, our lives and society has changed.....it won't return......no matter how optimistic you are.

    Mandated vaccination is an obscenity.

Good post BCram. As you say i am not sure anyone is in favour of going down the lockdown route again.

But as ever we will just have to wait and see.

They have locked down already, the unvaccinated and those who refuse to show papers and told everyone not to go to work.

Pubs and football will be next, can't have Doris saying 4000 and Herr furher at 10k, how low can you go.😁

    Nothing to wait and see.

I cannot see the Westminster restarting the furlough scheme which means Nicola would have to dip into all the unspent
money she has squirrelled away in the Scottish Government coffers for her next ‘once in a generation) Scottish independence referendum to pay for a Scottish Government furlough scheme.

Give it a rest will you?

Where is this money that's been squirrelled away? Where's the evidence of it? Or is it your opinion and therefore 'fact' in your world?

if there isn't a lockdown with furlough this winter I think that will show that Boris was right and lessons will have been learned. Everyone expected more covid cases this winter. If they hadn't found this omicron variant there would difnitely have been another one. Don't wear a mask if you don't want to, don't get vaccinated if you don't want to but don't expect to be able to do exactly what you want and have the same access to venues. I really don't hear any medical opinion saying anything other than wear a mask, get vaccinated and if you have symptoms get tested.

It has been reported in the media and newspapers that the Scottish Government has not handed over all the
money they received from Westminster to administer the furlough scheme in Scotland with it not being handed over to qualifying businesses.
I do not trust Nicola Sturgeon and her SNP controlled Scottish Government as they are good at hiding things to suit their own agenda.
