I think any manager coming here under the current set up is on a hiding to nothing.
Just can't forget AJ's first stint here. On the deck attacking football. You don't suddenly turn into a rubbish manager. It's all down to the calibre of player.
IMO we lack experience in the squad.

Our home form is terrible. The only way to cure this is to get them training down here at least once a week.

Some flawed logic here which suggesting AJ had poor quality players during his spells at Kilmarnock then Dunfermline. In his first spell with Queens we did indeed play fast flowing attractive football but it was in a very different First Division then where we were the only full time club in a much poorer league
A good manager will excel with average players making them and the club better than the individual parts.
