    bloody crazy mate, Ashley was too much of a chancer to think like this though, took a chance and played the law of averages, he sees 2 relegations in 14 years, so was always worth a risk.

    This time its a season too far, didn't strengthen and the players are another year older.

    For the new owners though, it just makes sense to me, they will receive a minimum of £170m just for being in the PL

    so even if they spent this on new players to keep us up, they have still not spent anything, unless im completely missing something like, which is quite likely

    or perhaps he did think like that but had developed a way of pocketing the £170million to use for his own purposes.
