I’m sure it’s as ‘safe’ as it is puzzling. Still the change in almost 200 years of electoral history over the last 24 hours would suggest you’re in the minority.

I don't mind being in a minority, we are the 48%!
What historic event have I missed today?

    Indeed it is.

Establish a world wide partnership of trade

Truss and Sunak have risen above him in all that.
Patel failed miserably and he refuses to either back or sack her.

    They will eject him.

Neither should you. Not sure which 48% you’re referring to.
The ending of almost 200 years of Tory representation in North Shropshire.

The historic event was you offering a pro government opinion. The only way you could have made things worse was by explaining your opinion, especially if that opinion has any depth to it. For what it’s worth I agree with you, they are doing an overall ok job, obscured by a few monumental fubars

I’m not sure your post has much relevance to mine rA but I concur with other neutral commentators, that whatever any future election outcome, North Shropshire will return to being conservative next time round. IMO the best thing the Lib Dem’s could have done was not put ANY effort into North Shropshire, let the conservatives win and carry on with their current shenanigans right up to the election - all they’ve done now is given the cons a wake up call, time will tell if they heed it

Phew, for a moment I was worried England's openers had each reached double figures that I missed.
I'm not in Shropshire so doesn't mean much to me I'm afraid.

Nor is rA, Ramshank, but you'll soon learn that he will never miss a chance to make political hay while the sun shines....

I’m sure it will, AF...however this thread is specifically about ‘The Government’s Handling of Covid’. You seemed to want to portray my perception of such matters as out of step with the majority. I may be out of step with you and the other two Amigos however the recent results in North Shropshire and elsewhere would seem to confirm that there is huge dissatisfaction in the country as a whole with the way things are going.
You and Tricky can try and belittle as much as you like and keep describing things as nothing more than a ‘protest vote’ but isn’t that what the vote against Corbyn’s Labour Party was? He’s long gone and Johnson will be on his way before long...as soon as it’s convenient for the Party, and it’s doners, imo.

    Truss? hahahahahahahaha

Sunak? Ah fond of billionaires running the country and arranging tax and other financials for their own kind and bugger the "ordinary guy" then?
