    My question really was a genuine question - what would you call those who persuade people not to have the vaccine, using misleading information to do so, and who recommend infection with Covid in order to get antibodies, despite the knowledge of the long term consequences?
    History may judge them to be heroes, who knows. "misleading" is an assumption - You could tell Mr X not to jump into the dangerous river because there are sharks in it, Mr Y comes along and proves there can't be any sharks , then Mr X jumps in and gets eaten by a crocodile.

    Long term damage from Covid will presumably correlate with severity for the most part and nobody is factoring in the damage being done by lockdowns, constant fear campagns etc.

    Which will ultimately do the most damage? Covid or trying to prevent Covid?

    The psychological damage being done to children in particular must be enormous.

    Read this instead....................

    If you can keep your head when all about you
    Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
    If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
    But make allowance for their doubting too;
    If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
    Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
    Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
    And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:
    If you can dream - and not make dreams
    your master;
    If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
    If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
    And treat those two impostors just the same;
    If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
    Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
    Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
    And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:
    If you can make one heap of all your winnings
    And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
    And lose, and start again at your beginnings
    And never breathe a word about your loss;
    If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
    To serve your turn long after they are gone,
    And so hold on when there is nothing in you
    Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!"
    If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
    Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,
    If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
    If all men count with you, but none too much;
    If you can fill the unforgiving minute
    With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
    Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
    And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

    If we're talking poetry therapy for these testing times, also try Wendell Berry:

    The Peace of Wild Things

    When despair for the world grows in me
    and I wake in the night at the least sound
    in fear of what my life and my children’s lives may be,
    I go and lie down where the wood drake
    rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.
    I come into the peace of wild things
    who do not tax their lives with forethought
    of grief. I come into the presence of still water.
    And I feel above me the day-blind stars
    waiting with their light. For a time
    I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.
