The reason for this lockdown is pretty simple to grasp...see all the essential workers that had to work during the first lockdown...well...they are getting sick just now! They are a bawhair away from total collapse. That means no emergency services, shop workers, drivers, care staff etc. They need to slow this virus down and get the booster programme caught up..just to stop the ones that have to work from being completely overwhelmed. It has started happening already! Nt getting into the political aspects of how this sh/t show has been ran but we need to protect the essential workers or the country will be even further up the swanny! Personally, I think this is going to happen every winter season from now on unless we invest properly in our NHS to make sure they don't ever get overwhelmed!
PS Football is crap without fans in the stadium!

This is where the joke is in Scottish Football. This should never come down to some collective decision by the Clubs, rather, like the EPL, it should be a decision taken by a higher authority (i.e. the league management) completely autonomous to any individual Club but with the League’s interests as a whole paramount.

Yes but most of these people are isolating with absolutely nothing the phuck wrong with them.I have personally witnessed someone isolating in better health than i have but i'm oot knocking my pan in and they are at home watching Netflix with F ALL wrong with them except testing positive for Covid,FACT.

I'm confused by all this. The Tories said the NHS would get an extra £350 million EVERY WEEK if we left the EU? That's an EXTRA £1.4 Billion every month. But folk can't get an appointment with their GP never mind an XRay.

The problem is if these people with COVID weren't self isolating they could pass it on to someone who is very vulnerable to ending up in hospital or worse. You don't surely think COVID infected people should be roaming about the community?
