On the plus side the football we played at Easter Road and Celtic Park was some of the best I've seen from us in years and that gives me a bit of confidence that we've got a manager who can deliver when he's got the best players to choose from. He just needs better players to choose from in certain positions.

I would agree with that, Hibs in the cup too id say was our best footballing wise but were cheated that night.

Regarding the injury updates. As several posts have mentioned above i agree its really really poor from the club. Keep the fans in the loop ffs. I mean what the actual **** is going on with Smith and Levitt.

It's all very well flagging up goals which should have been disallowed, but the point is Hibs (and other teams) are creating chances and putting the ball in the net, giving the officials a decision to make. We are not even doing that. Yes, the goal shouldn't have been given, but it was only one of 3 that we conceded while creating next to nothing - as we have been doing for several weeks now. Complaining about bad decisions does not take away the fact that are playing complete and utter gash.

Bad referee decisions are standing out and costing us in part because we have absolutely no margin to absorb these unlucky breaks. If we were scoring 2-3 a game then we would be good enough to overcome these decisions. As it is when you don’t score the pressure is on your defence not to concede and hope the referee breaks go your way.

As it is Hibs have had a great run of refereeing breaks against us lately. Doidge marginally offside 0-1 at tannadice last season, clear offside in sc semi, penalty decision and pawlett not even close offside in league cup, and nisbett goal sat.

When's the last time we got a penalty?
Not suggesting we're being cheated necessarily cos I am aware you've to be in the opposition box to get one.

From open play, 12th May vs Motherwell. Shankland missed.

Prem Sports Cup at Ayr in August, Clark penalty equaliser on 80 mins.
So our last penalty in the league was 22 games ago (tHeArAb'S M'well game), that maybe getting on for a record?

It’s becoming easy within the first 10 minutes of a game starting to see how the match will end up, if on the front foot from the first whistle, then we have a decent chance of getting something, start with fannying about trying to ‘suss out’ the oppo and we get shafted

Indeed but I have a believable theory as to why we never get a penalty in league matches.

We're not in the opposition box often enough for anyone to get fouled!

I don't know if it's true or not, but I heard that several goalkeepers from opposing teams actually hope we may somehow get a penalty, so that it will give them something to do?

The stat 'Shots saved = nil' is not good for a 'keeper's street cred, irrespective of the circumstances behind it.
