The BBC is at it as well, it just won't go away, the Labour Party, the BBC, wherever there are Lefties, never far under the surface there is the nauseating stench of anti-semitism. Sometimes I can smell it on here.

"Jewish leaders to confront BBC over ‘colossal error’ in anti-Semitic attack coverage. Representatives to meet director-general over concerns about corporation’s ‘misreporting’ of hate crime incident in London’s Oxford Street"

"Jewish leaders will confront the director-general of the BBC after an investigation revealed a “colossal error” in its reporting over an anti-Semitic attack in London’s Oxford Street.

Earlier this month, Jewish ****agers celebrating Hanukkah faced anti-Semitic harassment after a group of men performed Nazi salutes and chased their bus.

Boris Johnson described the video as “disturbing” and the Metropolitan Police opened a hate crime investigation.

However, in its original report, BBC News said that “racial slurs about Muslims could be heard inside the bus”, an allegation that has been criticised by organisations, including the Campaign Against Anti-Semitism and the Board of Deputies of British Jews.

The board also commissioned an independent report which, in a press release issued on Thursday, it claims disproves the BBC’s allegations.

It has now emerged that Jewish leaders are set to confront Tim Davie, the BBC’s director-general, over the organisation’s “misreporting” amid concerns that its behaviour “raises serious questions about deep-seated biases within the BBC towards Israelis, and indeed towards Jews in general”.

Writing in the Jewish Chronicle, Marie van der Zyl, the president of the Board of Deputies, described the BBC’s “misreporting” as “a colossal error”, which “has added insult to injury in accusing victims of anti-Semitism of being guilty of bigotry themselves…”.

She added: “But what takes this from an egregious failure to something far more sinister is the BBC’s behaviour when confronted with its mistake. Instead of admitting it was wrong, it has doubled and tripled down.”

Ms Van der Zyl also called for the BBC to publicly apologise to the victims of the Oxford Street attack and referred to a meeting the Board of Deputies will be holding with Mr Davie and other senior executives in January, which will include “a full and frank discussion of this issue.

The Board of Deputies commissioned an independent report by an open-source internet and social media company, as well as a separate report by an expert forensic linguist, with both concluding that the original BBC story was erroneous."

I just love the way the mealy-mouthed BBC tries to deflect blame for the attack, the culprits were they say, "a group of men performing Nazi salutes". Obviously knuckle dragging, Far Right, white, racist thugs then. But no, when you look at the video, they are clearly a group of men of the same racial origin as those groups of men who have been abusing young white girls in Nottinham, Rochdale etc. But this is the BBC, they won't go there, nowhere near there, they cannot bring themselves to tell the truth, that these were Muslims youths of Asian origin attacking the Jewish children.

But one has to accept that, as in the Labour Party and on this msgboard, no one at the BBC is anti-semitic either.

I have commented on this before.

I saw the video. It was blatant anti-Semitism, perpetrated by a group of obnoxious Asian males.

What made it even worse was the targeted Jewish passengers were mainly young females.

The gang then chased the bus down Oxford Street further intimidating the Jewish passengers.

I watched SKY News at lunchtime, they too find it difficult to mention that young black males of African origin/heritage are stabbing each other to death on the streets of London. 30 deaths to date in a calendar year so far.

I'm not sure what is behind the need to hide the truth, when honest transparent reporting would be far more effective.

Perhaps the media are so used to being fed bull$hit from Downing Street, they think they can get away with it too?

BT: ''Bishop Tutu just about sums up my own attitude to Israel.

This D Tutu, a man of the book? Then his worship etc, is to God and Jesus. ( Is that duality or ''I and my Father are ONE''! Jesus was a Jew ,and was born in Judea. He would have been called a Judean, born in the Land called Judea. So why do thy call it Palestine? Arab Armies stole it stole it as it was Judea. So the Jews have we can say the rights to be there. Arabs armies came and conquered it in about 625AD

Syria Palaestina was the name given to the Roman province of Judea by the emperor Hadrian following the suppression of the Bar Kokhba revolt in 135 CE.
Later it became part of the Ottoman empire.
The U N gave Britain the Mandate to govern - Palestine, Which was the name given to the Roman province of Judea by the emperor Hadrian following the suppression of the Bar Kokhba revolt in 135 CE.

The Arab-Israeli War of 1948 broke out when five Arab nations invaded territory in the former Palestinian mandate immediately following the announcement of the independence of the state of Israel on May 14, 1948. That area became Jorden, so how come they are Palestinians? They are Jordanians!!! Not Palestinians.
On 31 July 1988, Jordan renounced its claims to the West Bank (with the exception of guardianship over the Muslim and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem), and recognized the Palestine Liberation Organization as "the sole legitimate representative of the Palestinian people."
What do you expect when some 55 Nations are linked to Islam? Lets vote! Ah! it belongs to Palestine ,the Palestinians!

If Jordan did not renounced its claims to the West Bank they would be Jordanians.

So what does Mr Toto think Jesus is a Palestinian??

    Behave yourself Balan!

Offer any views to support Palestinian people and all you will receive is a totally cynical and bad faith weaponization of antisemitism which attempts to close down any or all fundamental expressions of solidarity with the Palestinian people.

Israel’s ceaseless efforts to stifle any and all support for Palestinians must be called out; bombing civilians must be challenged and stopped. Challenging Israeli apartheid and casual genocide does not make one anti-Semitic.

Straight out of the Anti-Semites playbook.

    Rule One.

Always flatly refute any and all accusations of anti-semitism.

    Rule Two.

Do not be defensive in your refutations, attack those pointing out anti-semitism, claim the moral high-ground, 'supporting the Palestinian people against their Israeli oppressors' is a good starting point.

    Rule Three.

Deflecting accusations by using the 'anti-zionism is not anti-semitism' trope is not only acceptable, it is advisable.

    Rule Four.

Under no circumstances use the word Jews or Jewish when Israel or Israeli will suffice.

    Rule Five.

In case of difficulty, refer to Rule One.

That poor soul Tutu, (if I found his grave I would pass on it !) and so would our J C!
Since September 2015, Israel has experienced a wave of terror perpetrated by individuals, many of them very young, inspired by vicious incitement in Palestinian social and traditional media

October 2015 saw the beginning of a wave of terrorism that has led to 620 attacks (483 in the form of firebombs) in one month, compared to 223 in September. ( 10 Israelis) were killed in October, and 80 were injured,
November 2015, 10 people, Israelis were killed in terrorist attacks. Among the non-fatal casualties, 22 were wounded in stabbings ( 5 in Jerusalem and 10 in Israel), 24 in vehicle attacks, and 12 in shootings. Etc etc etc

Then Israel constructed a wall, with check points, the result, to enter Israel all Palestinians are checked (for weapons bombs etc)
In a 2002 speech in Boston, Tutu pointed out. “I've been very deeply distressed in my visit to the Holy Land,” he said; “it reminded me so much of what happened to us black people in South Africa. I have seen the humiliation of the Palestinians at checkpoints and ro*******s, suffering like us when young white police officers prevented us from moving about.”
In 2014, to support to the toxic BDS campaign to delegitimize Israel , Tutu was at it again. Tutu, of course, was not alone in propagating the apartheid slur against Israel, even though he was seen to possess a particular moral authority on that topic.
Human Rights Watch (HRW) of a 2021 report, titled “A Threshold Crossed,” in which the obsessively anti-Israel organization, in accusing Israel of “apartheid and persecution,”

But apartheid—state instituted racial separation and denial of human and civil rights to minorities—of course, does not exist in Israel at all, something that HRW knows but ignores in arguing the existence of de facto apartheid under the flawed definition they have maliciously constructed.
Last May, when homicidal Hamas terrorists were lobbing some 3400 rockets into southern Israeli towns for the purpose of murdering Jews, dozens of statements were issued from university students and faculty, academic departments, and even academic groups in solidarity, not with the beleaguered Jewish state, but with the Arab psychopaths attempting to murder Israelis in their homes.

The much-reviled security barrier, which Israel began building around the 'West Bank' in 2005 as a tactic to reduce terror attacks on its citizenry (and which has been successful in reducing the frequency of those attacks by some ninety percent) is, in the eyes of Israel’s critics, not a means of defence, but what is termed the “apartheid wall,” a type of racial fence. A never-ending ambition to “steal” Arab land, disrupt Palestinian Arab life, and expand its supremacist Zionist dream to ever-broader borders.

Even before the death of George Floyd last spring in Minneapolis, campuses were obsessed with the issue of race, and pro-Palestinian groups have been very strategic in positioning the conflict between the Jewish state and the Palestinian Arabs as being, at base, about race. And the apartheid comparison is a simple and powerful way for Israel’s campus enemies to heap yet another moral condemnation on the Jewish state.

Even though Arab citizens of Israel (one-fifth of the population) enjoy more human and civil rights than their brethren in any other Arab nation.
"If you cannot answer a man's argument," Oscar Wilde once quipped, "do not panic. You can always call him names."
