Altrincham vs. Stockport off due to Covid-19. Wrexham fans trying to establish whether their recent contact with Alty means they cannot play us on Sunday

    It's getting ridiculous.

We are discussing whether we should play with some cases, they are looking at whether they need to cancel because of contact.

I believe it depends if opposing teams players have been double jabbed or not . If not the 10 days isolating is needed . 7 if they are double jabbed .

Fair play if we’re doing our best to get it on, but I don’t know why we haven’t given it up. As with Chesterfield delay it until nearer the end of the season when they’ll be bigger games with bigger crowds and full squads.

The unfolding picture reflects the attitudes of most professional footballers who would rather suck up the excesses of social media than go with reliable accredited sources, especially in the matter of vaccines.
This game is highly unlikely to take place but if it does, you can bet that it will be Notts' final league match for some time to come,
Our leader saying that things are incomparably better than New Year 2020 is not helping. First of all, the two sets of statistics are very comparable. Secondly, by using such cavalier language, your average footballer is going to believe the worst is over and the sun will shine again in January.

I'd like to see a postponement.
Unavailability of players due to covid is the valid reason, but I think the absence of Ruben alone tips it towards them.

Just to play devil’s advocate, Wrexham’s key creative player Jordan Davies got injured the other day so is out of this one, Mullin is carrying a knock and a bit out of sorts and they’re expected to make several big signings by the time January is out. Might not be a bad time to play them.

    May the best team win…
We won’t really know unless full strength side are available..
I do however think Notts would beat Wrexham….
Tight and nervy affair but should be a right new year cracker

Why so? Obviously there’s an argument over what we should be allowing to happen now, but basic maths says this is going to peak in the next few days.

Things are incomparibly better than 2020. Unless we are not prepared to accept any deaths from covid, I feel this is the beginning of the end. However I wouldn't put it past any government to test for flu in future to keep us in lockdown limbo.
