Some perennial favourites from past years have been plucked from the vine in recent years, Vera Lynn, Prince Phillip and Kirk Douglas to name just three.

One caveat this time, nobody to be named who is suffering from a well documented serious illness, any nominees should be regarded as a shock death especially amongst younger age groups.
