    Video B v's L

To see just how bad it gets several moments we can see are 2nd class defending etc

First mistakes which we make at (0.17) who is covering /marking Roberts? That should have been a goal!

Mistake by Tarks his clearance ???? Leads to their first goal.(0.29) Then why does Tarks try to block a shot with is left foot/leg outstretched held in that position the leg is weaker ,and should be blocked with his right foot. Not being able to block the shot he falls with his back to the Leeds player Harrison?? Who the has another shot creating the 1st Leeds goal. Tarks gets up, but his body twisted is in no position to block that 2nd shot.

At (1.18) Rafael misses an open goal!!

Looking at the corner (1.24) Taylor is playing well, but could stand nearer to their 2 players for this corner . (1.26) Why is Taylor alone? Usually McNeil comes out there to help ,what can Taylor do against 2 players? At this point we have 5-6 players in the goal area, not one Leeds player is inside the goal area.( but who is giving out commands ,or is it a case of the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing?? Players just guess I will stand here or there? Before Dallas takes that shot ,we have 9 players plus the goal keeper inside the penalty area, they have 6 players ,(really 5) ,one is standing at the edge of the box, and still they score. Who is giving out commands like ''cover him ,take him ,watch him'' ?? Mee or Tarks or no one?

For the last goal Taylor is at fault instead of using his head to head it out of play he stops and tries to raise a boot to kick it (1.42 - 1.44 )
All solutions can be written below ,even if it means installing a 3 inch glass frame in front of our goals??

Tarks is a great player for us,he's been superb over the years and made numerous last second goal saving tackles.First time he's let us down and having said that the goal itself came after a good save by the keeper and was rather fortunate it came back to him.

For their second goal, we seemed to be taken by surprise by the short corner. Not sure why, they're nothing new, they're not even unusual.

I agree Alf, he's been superb, but this isn't the first time he's let us down, can't remember which game exactly, but it's not that long since he cocked up, fannying about, and gave the ball away leading to a goal, in a very similar position to the one at Leeds.

He has done very well for us, however, my son pointed out last season that he thought that Tarks had a concentration problem at times and I have to agree that he does suffer ---why? Who knows, however, I reckon this is why he has fallen by the wayside as far as England are concerned and I don't think that he will improve.

In truth we needed two centre backs because yes Tarky does have his faults but Mee is in a downward spiral he makes rash challenges , has no pace and gets caught out a lot.

If we’re being really honest Taylor has bailed our centre backs out for two seasons, he has a good brain and constantly comes around and covers our centre backs misgivings on many occasions.

That’s just a reality check as all eyes are focused on Tarky for a poor game yesterday - both him and Mee have been good servants to Burnley but I have a feeling somethings not right at Turf Moor towers as I don’t think Mee wants to sign either - But as my comments above they can both go for me Tarky will go somewhere and improve , Mee is on a slippery slope imo.

Someone needs to get a hold / angle of things in the club though or we could do and Ipswich / Blackpool for example.

What and Connor Cody and Tyrone mings don’t have faults - he doesn’t play for England Sub because he plays for Burnley.

If I were him I’d have told Gareth to shove it where the sun don’t shine and gone to play for Poland.

Balan , I think in all honesty that our defence is under so much pressure for large spells of
The game and is afforded so little protection (which is odd for a very defensive minded side) for long spells.

It’s agreed there is no where to hide on the first two goals they are mistakes , the last is Lowton not Taylor tbh but your question re kicking it is still correct

Yes , I wrote Taylor, a lapse in concentration there, or the coffee I had just made smelt great?

Cody and Mings and Maguire all make mistakes, nobody is denying that, however, I still think that Tarkowski's biggest problem is in sustaining 100% concentration and this will be picked up by any coach at any level but particularly at international level.
Are you saying that once he leaves the Turf he will be a certain shoe in to the England set up?
We are talking about a set up that, since he last played for them on 11 Sept 2018, has played 41 matches, won 30, drawn 7 and lost just 4 and for which he was a named sub in 2 matches in 2019 but did not get on.
Do you honestly think that they are just going to select him because he is no longer at Burnley?
