    Am I being naive.........

........ but how long is it before we deem a player to be match fit? Take Dike for instance. I realise that it has been the close season in the States but surely if we put him on the bench and are in need of a goal with twenty minutes or so left we could bring him on and that he could manage that without any problems. Is this too simplistic?

According to some of the Barnsley folk...he usually plays 60 mins then subbed...so I think he will be put in quickly as we are really in a bad situation with goal scorers...

It's being more than simplistic to be honest. Imagine if Dike gets a 20 minute cameo after the manager has stated he needs a mini pre season.

Dike then pulls up with a hamstring injury and is out for weeks. The collective meltdown on here, other forums and social media would be felt in Australia as it passes through the earth's core.

I don't want Dike anywhere near the FA Cup match day squad unless it's absolutely and utterly necessarily regarding numbers of personnel.

VI's going to be damned by some if he plays him and he's going to be damned by some if he doesn't. The bloke won't be able to win either way.

I certainly wouldn't play him for a cup match...no chance...so agree 68.....but by the following week...I'd have him on the bench. The fella is just in his 20's so more naturally fit then the old age pensioner we normally sign in the darkness of their ending careers...

No problem at all including him for QPR Dubs. In truth unless there's a glaring issue I'll be vexed if he isn't involved. Especially as I'm going there for an away day and I want to see his debut 😊 .
