Not a lot he could do about the equaliser. Massive deflection.

Can see why Sunderland liked him coming to us though. They like to play it out and look for the incisive pass.

1-1, deflection...not much Patterson could do with it.

Sorry yeah didn't know it was on Sky, thought it would just be on the Wycombe iPlayer.

Impressed with Wycombe I have to say - direct but no shortage of skill. They remind me of a Warnock team. Massive respect to Ainsworth for what he's built there.

Feel for Patto for the second goal against him. Was getting pinned by an offside player ("perfectly legal" says the commentator, what?) but a bit too naive as to what to do about it.

I was speaking to a mate of mine who is a Sunderland fan and telling him how highly we rated Patterson. He said in the few games they've seen him play for Sunderland his potential was obvious, but he sometimes looked physically a bit vulnerable at League One level. That second goal for Wycombe perhaps illustrates what he means. Not Patterson's fault as such, but Wycombe are an experienced, canny team who know how to use the dark arts, such as obstructing goalkeepers without getting whistled for it.

Yeah he got old-manned there - not sure what he could've done really apart from fall over and hope for a foul.

Finding it a really interesting game from a Notts perspective, seeing Sunderland (who apparently want to play a passing game and definitely started that way) getting repeatedly bullied off the ball. Patterson (and the defenders) resorted to hoofing it up the field as a response and it's just not working, unsurprisingly. Whereas Wycombe are much better able to make the long ball work.

Wonder if the conditions are playing into that.

Patterson certainly got the best deal today, playing for Sunderland in League One on TV, rather enduring a long trip to Dover for nothing!

Patterson down being treated for his ankle after a full blooded collision with a teammate. Eeek.

My bloody Sky TV has gone on delay! He still looked okay on my screen!

Evans off on a stretcher but Patterson looks okay from what i can see.
