Losing to Cambridge might have its benefits.

Much as losing a game like that at home to a team we ought to have walloped, with all due respect to the opposition, it hopefully will go to show to those who hold the purse strings the urgency of the situation.

Replacements/strengthening in at least five positions are urgently required and only Trippier on our side was a breath of fresh air, both in his play and effort as well as his attitude.

Also, those at least five positions meaning at least five underperforming shirkers off and out of our club and as far away as possible.

You and I are of the same mind.

Never good to go out of the cup in such a fashion but the bigger picture is league survival. I couldn't care less about other fans or pundits mocking us.

It will just make it all the sweeter next season going forward when we have a world class team and are crushing the likes of West Ham, Southampton etc on a regular basis.

    Roll on the good time!

I had the same thoughts this morning Pat.

**** and **** way to go out but it certainly highlights the desperate need.

    Aye, good points, Pat.

Couple of windows and all our Chimpo players will be gone.

It's incredible to think that we've been starting games with so many players who were with us in the Chimpo last time out.

StayLovely did NOT look impressed so I don't think the need to spend is lost on her.

I hope that most of the names that we are being linked with are just paper talk and Tw'atter gossip. Because if we get get these signings wrong, we are toast.

I this exit has done a lot of damaged, in terms of player pull.

If we went out in the next round, I would agree. Now, it has just undelined the fact that were in deep sh|t.

We have probably lost players because of this.

I’d be surprised if a player wouldn’t sign for us because of the result of one game, especially one in which we dominated and has 23 shots on goal. Sh*t happens in football sometimes.
I’m more concerned about the effect on player confidence, hopefully some new signings’ll help.
