I think that possibly people have different weak spots in their make up which makes them susceptible to certain viruses. Just a thought.
I think you are spot on with different people's weak spots. I never picked up any childhood illnesses despite all my friends going down with them. Some people tend to catch everything that's going.
The thing about vaccines and antibiotics are they are effective for the first one or two jabs, but if you keep having them your immunity system begins to rely on them, and a vitrus or bacteria will mutate to get around them. We have seen it before with the flesh eating disease that anti biotics had no effect on.
I have never had Flu, I hope I never do, I know people who have had it really bad.

That’s not correct about vaccines. There are loads of viruses that require more than two doses to be effective. Polio for example, needs 4 doses of a vaccine and took 4 years to gain herd immunity.

Spot on Des! People have strong immune systems and others do not which is why have a flu job if you have never had it - makes no sense! Just open windows FFS.

I used to manage food and beverage consultants for a travel company who were sent to the Dom Republic due to sickness bugs. Many staff live in mud huts and don't wash their hands when going to the loo but work in posh hotels - they have cast iron immune systems so don't get ill ( even drinking the water ) where tourists do. Same principle.

Generally you are a sickie person or you are not!
