    Yes, not nice is it?

Why would anybody want to go there?

I think in case of Rotherham shop the lease has run out presumably landlord wants more £ and plug has been pulled

Isn't that shop very close to the new riverside development area where shops, restaurants and a multiplex cinema was proposed.

If it's still going ahead then the landlord, planners and developers of this scheme might be pleased it's been made available to be part of the master plan

Yes, and next to the bingo hall that’s similarly closing ( closed?)

    There's a theme here.
Might be beneficial for the town in the long run
Beers and food by the riverside before football

The town centre needs to move away from retail and more to good quality residential buildings

    This.

It's never going to be a tourist town and all the major chains and brands have left. What's in town now?

I come into the center for the football and maybe the odd pint. What's any other reason to go?

I think that's what they're trying to achieve.
NYS side of town residential and leisure
(Green space where G&C would be a benefit)

Retail @ Tesco's side of town

I'm sure English Heritage will need to have a say in that decision due to the art deco plasterwork in there which was possibly sculptured by Michael Angelo
