He's still to prove himself at the top level imo. His next move is a massive one for the sake of his career.
Watching Beerschot since he signed (not the actual matches but scores, some reports etc) it seems like hes went to an absolute disaster of a squad. Early on in season seems to have really put them on a downward spiral of 1 disaster after another. If i remember correctly there were red cards in the first 15-20 mins of shanklands first 2 or 3 starts and he was hooked each time because of them, the manager was already under pressure and kept rotating his attacking players so Shanks started his career either coming on when they were already beaten or being hooked because they were down to 10 men when the games had barely started. In total they have had 5 red cards in the league this season and conceded an average of 2 a game.

They should have much bigger worries than Shankland but if they plan on getting him out the door i would guess it is because they know they are going down and want to get some money back in to completely overhaul their squad for next season.

I don't care how he's done in Belgium, i seen enough of him to know he would score at any level given the right service. We gave him no service at all last season and i doubt hes had much at Beerschot. He would absolutely bang the goals in for a team like Hearts, Hibs etc

Thats where I am - bad choice he had no chance. Not even a starter now in the team. I admit he hasnt proved top level yet. Will he? probably at Hearts tbh BUT if we can get him for 6 months and not break the bank he is a million times better than alternatives - Clark (nowhere near good enough at this level), McNulty (not a striker anyway tbh like clark and inconsistent), Biamoutheforgottenone (not a goal scorer either going by history and phuck knows whats happened to him). Shanks and Watt would be interesting as Watt likes to roam as well.

Agree. If we get this over the line it’s a big pat on the back to TA and the club, and good luck to the young lad. 👍

I'd imagine it's close to the £800K mentioned the other day and the rest add-ons. Time for Shanks' return.

I think its £800k up front, then the rest from appearances. There will also be a sell on clause added to that too
