I'd put it down to wishful thinking...

I think Beerschot have 2 options as I dont think they will want to keep him given they are certainties for relegation. They either keep him at the club until the summer and then try to sell him or they try to offload him now on loan to get him off their wage bill and put him in the shop window. If it is the latter it can only be United. if they keep him to the summer Aberdeen or Hearts may be in pole position if they want the player.

I think Shankland fancies a move back to Scotland given he has been talking about it

He doesn't know how many goals he scored in the Premiership??? What a crock oh sh*t....
Every striker knows their goal tally, no matter where they play.

I would happily have him back, but............ he needs the supply that we didn't give him last time in the big league. Same as Clarke , McNulty etc... No ammo , no goals.
