Should Labour simply oppose anything and everything the current shower of 5h1t does or should they back the things they agree with and/or those things which deem to be in the country's best interests and attack what's left over?

Now remind me again, how many times Labour have been in power in the last 25 years.

We might have the Tories here for another 27 months, but every election before the public put them there.
Also a lot can happen in that time. May got the push, Johnson came in and blitzed it.
They'll get rid rid of him and what do you think will happen?

The bit you call deflection, is a fact.
    THE OPPOSITION ARE ****E.

Please find me something/someone worth voting for. I have just outlined how bad they all are and the rot continues.
Hmmm...you’ve been back a day or two and here we go again.
You’re quite right...Johnson does wind me up these days for ‘even existing’ and I don’t think I’m in the minority there. The same is not, and never has been, true about the Tories.
I vehemently disagree with all ‘Right of centre’ politics and the further to the Right the less acceptable such policies become imo, but that doesn’t translate to hatred or loathing of the ‘Tories’...indeed, as I’ve consistently said, I would welcome a coalition Government made up of sensible, reasonable moderates from all Parties.

As regards the last 25 years...actually Labour still have a slight edge. They were in power from 1997-2010, while the Tories have now managed approaching twelve years. Unfortunately for your argument they’ve been the most recent twelve years.

Again imo, the years under Blair were the best, politically, of my adult life. I know you’ll immediately start ranting about ‘Tony Bliar’ and I accept he messed up...but given the current PM’s relationship with the truth...such taunts now ring a tad hollow don’t you think?

Moving back on topic and away from irrelevant attacks on the opposition, I have to say that I caught Johnson’s Party Political Broadcast just before going out last night. It seemed to me to be an excruciating exercise in bad timing that concentrated, unsurprisingly, almost entirely on the successes of the vaccination programme.
Credit where it’s due...the Government, or to be more accurate those who’ve actually implemented it, deserve every credit for the level of vaccination in this country.
On the other hand, and very much ‘on topic’, the facts that the UK’s 151,700 Covid deaths now see us as the seventh worst in the whole World and the worst in Europe seemed to be completely glossed over.

Maybe that should be of greater concern here. If you want to debate the opposition’s failings I suggest you start another thread.

Ok then , lets gloss over the fact that British politics are absolutely dire at the moment.
Just like the USA with Trump. Anyone but him philosphy.
    Where has that got them?
A bumbling idiot in charge and probably now the most unpopular president since WW2. New records being broken all the time, with inflation the worst in 40 years.

You gloss over the facts, with your bias.
Starmer and Labour should romp any election. Johnson is clinging by his finger nails. But they won't.
If they get in, it will be a hung parliament.

He deserves the sack for his actions, everyone is accountable.
I told you before, I have more anger to other failures, other than a cheese and wine shin dig.
Maybe he'll get a Knighthood later like Tony "bomb em now" Blair.
Non of this is irrelevent, for you. Just inconvenient, to your loathing.

If its any consolation for you. My vote will be going elsewhere, on this **** show.
Up to yet, there is no obvious place for it.

Okay...I’ll try one last time. This thread is about the ‘Government’s Handling of Covid’ and the current political crisis is about the PM’s, amongst others, inability to follow his/their own pandemic based rules.

You can babble on about the USA, Trump, Corbyn, Abbott, Starmer, Blair’s knighthood, the opposition being ‘shi*e’ as much as you like...it won’t make it relevant to either what is currently happening or the title of the thread.

The facts that matter, in relation to this topic, are the ones I’ve provided and the ones related to vaccination figures. Your comments about Starmer and Labour ‘romping any election’ are meaningless as you just don’t seem able to grasp that the PM’s huge majority means a General Election is over two years away.

If you stay remotely on topic I’ll reply. If you just want to repetitively shout ‘the opposition are shi*e’ then, as I’ve already suggested, open a new thread and see how much interest you get.

P.S. Glad we agree that Johnson ‘deserves the sack for his actions, everyone is accountable’. Such agreement between us is about as rare as you being able to stay on topic...so well done.

P.P.S. Another worrying, imo, aspect of this whole issue is the role of the police. Apparently the Metropolitan Police are now part of the enquiry. Given the understandable high police presence in and around the entrance to Downing Street it would seem strange to me if they don’t already have a complete list of all those in attendance on May 20th.

About time the police got involved in this INQUIRY, this shower of 5h1te have got away with too much for too long.

The VIP fast lane has now been ruled illegal by the Courts. What's the betting that's where it stops and there are no consequences for the politicians, Civil Servants and companies involved....

don't you dare lecture anyone about staying on topic.
You just did it with Farage and Djokovic, and even mentioned Brexit.
Anything involving your pet hates, is allowed a mention in your head.

Selective memory applies and your one way street rant about Tories.

I believe Johnson should be sacked. He set the rules.
But its funny with you, that anyone else that breaks the rules, seems to escape any scrutiny or accountablity.
Anyone in parliament is obliged to show to public how we are doing it.
Except when they conform to your beliefs.

    Correct MA.
Because the Police hierarchy piss in the same pot.
Glad you mentioned all of the goons involved in this.

.......but aren't we guilty of drifting off topic by discussing the police in a thread about the government? rA, the thought policeman himself, will soon issue you with coruscating reprimands, MA and TTR, for straying from the narrow path of government bashing. Oh no, maybe not, as it seems it was the thread thought policeman that first introduced the deviation from the acceptable path of discussion himself, just a couple of threads up!

    Oh the outrage!

The context was people lying and appearing to believe in one rule for one and one for another where Covid protocol is concerned.
Johnson and Djokovic are most certainly in that category so hardly off topic. I just found it fascinating, and surprising, that Farage was involved in defending Djokovic from the Australian Government when he seems so obviously to have also lied...oops sorry...made an ‘error of judgement’...in the description of his recent whereabouts.

I can see that the Brexit reference was always going to upset you but it was only mentioned because there can be little doubt now that Johnson is an out and out liar and that Farage is busy defending another. It might just make others question how truthful these two were at the time of the Referendum but you’re right, that bit is a little off topic...not as far off as the collection you mentioned though.

Maybe, remembering the title of the thread, we’d both be better off concentrating on the likes of Cummings, Hancock and Stratton...along with Mr. Dumpty himself of course...oh and all those involved in the apparent ‘VIP fast lane’ scam too...perhaps.
